Statement on today's attack on Charlie Hebdo

07/01/2015

Hacked Off

We are shocked by the events in Paris today. An open, democratic society respects liberty and free speech, and a free press is an essential part of that society. The attack is not just on the magazine or on France, but on everyone who believes in a free, open, democratic society.

Our thoughts and condolences are with the friends and family of those killed and injured, including police officers and the staff of Charlie Hebdo.
