Tell your MP: The Prime Minister must meet the victims of press abuse

For over a decade, the Labour Party promised to take action on press reform and implement the Leveson recommendations for an accountable press.

Yet since coming to power, Prime Minister Keir Starmer has given no indication that he intends to keep those promises. Instead, he has been backpedaling on his commitments, and attempting to ingratiate himself with the press. Last summer alone, he met at least twice with the Murdochs - but he still hasn't met once with the victims of their media empire.

The overwhelming majority of the public and Labour Party MPs back independent standards for the press, and believe that the promises made over the last 13 years should be kept.

Now, over 30 victims of press abuses have written to the PM to call on him to meet with them.

Please write to your MP today, to urge them to add their voices to calls for the PM to meet the victims of the press face to face, and hear directly from them.
